This poem from Clark Ashton Smith (CAS) has a very simple beauty informed by the changing seasons:
Let me forget the flowers
Of blown Aprilian bowers,
When autumn shades and showers
Besiege the flowerless day.
Despite its brevity, it has a lyric magic that lingers with me well after the first reading.
